Rubix Cube Housewarming!

On Saturday the 7th of May we had our housewarming. Nothing much to say other than it was the party of the year. Everyone had the best time!

It wasn't too big or too small, there were heaps of lovely people and no idiots, good music, great dancing, yummy food and clothes swapping! (Rubix Cube theme requires you to arrive in the 6 colours of a rubix cube, but during the night end up in just one colour!)

We also had lots of pretty candles and colourful lights which made a great atmosphere :)

Easter

Felice came to stay for Easter and i had 7 days off :)
This was amazing cos i havent seen her in over two years!!

We spent most of the time on the beach and sitting back reading and chatting. The weather was amazing. Here's sunset in the backyard:
On Easter Monday we flew a 4 seater plane (a Mooney) to Rottnest Island for the day!! One of Nicoles work mates is a pilot and to fly with him return to rotto plus scenic detour is only $50pp.... pays to have friends in high places (haha get it?). The ferry costs way more than that, so we were pretty lucky and special :)

See the swan river and perth:
This is freo from the air:

My house is in this photo: 2/3 of the way across to the right and 2/3 of the way down.
and rotto:

It was awesome to park the plane on the empty airfield and then just lock it like a car before heading off for a day at the beach.
The swell was huge this day, so we struggled to fine many dry places to sit on the sand. But I swam with (and got scared to death) by a masssssive stingray!!!
And both Nic and I had a chance to FLY the plane. This was quite a thrill....as soon as i was in control the plane started dipping and swaying. Scary stuff....... but not anywhere near as scary as what happened next..... Cory (pilot) decided to play a game with us and.... cut the freaking propellor!!!! Thats right we were free falling in a little plane. First everything in my lap flew up to the ceiling and then backwards in the plane, then my organs all collided and my brain did backflips in my skull.... all the while i was screaming and the unsuspecting Felice was shouting for her life.... and then i noticed that the propellor wasn't turning and looking out the front window i no longer saw the horizon but the ocean!!!! oh god.

and then he pulled up and all was fine. fun easter times.....
