Where is winter

More fun Perth times as winter slowly descends apon us.... much later than Melbourne though might i add :)

One night i cooked up a yummy roast! Lamb and pumpkin, beetroot, onion, carrots, broccoli, asparagus :)

Went on a lovely Sunday drive to York with the girls. It is about 2 hours east of Freo - over the hills. Awesome country town that is apparently normally pretty dull, but we went on the weekend of the food and wine festival! There was also markets in this stunning old Mill and another market by the river.... needless to say the wallet took a hit that day! (but only in support of local produce.....)

After shopping we went on a walk up the local hill to a magnificent lookout over the valley below :)

A nice night out in Freo for the Winter Music Festival.

I had my first introduction to ice hockey thanks to the Vancouver Canucks making it into the Stanley Cup finals! A 7 match play off against the Boston Bruins. In order to watch this we headed to the casino sports bar at 7 in the morning. It was actually really fun to watch so I went a couple of times.... but sadly they lost dramatically at the end :(

Ash's visit and Pinnacles

Ash came to visit me in July! We ate seafood!

While he was here we went out on the town and he spend some time doing touristy things in Fremantle and Perth. One lazy sunday we decided to drive .....

... and passed by a gravity, science centre thing in the middle of the bush where we climbed the "leaning tower of Gin Gin" to throw water balloons off the top....

... all on the way to the PINNACLES!!!

Melbourne visit

Incase you didn't know.... I went back to Melbourne for a visit late May/early June.

Most of the time was spend cleaning/throwing out old things from the house, visiting friends and family, sleeping in and indulging in home cooked food. There was also some computer antics:
