Little did I know (infact no idea how I missed this one), that just outside of Edinburgh is the WORLD'S biggest climbing arena!! Which not only is build inside an old quarry and hosts the European champs but is also home to the WORLD'S HIGHEST indoor climbing wall at 30metres!!! Maybe the rain wasn't such a bad thing anymore! Private lesson in a giant gym, yes please!!
And fortunately for me, the only route on the high wall was a perfect difficulty for me. Kinda difficult, but not so much that I had to ever use the rope, or fall. Thank god, cos 30m is way higher than any climb I've ever done at home and I didn't wanna fall and have to add a few metres to the climb, needed energy to reach the top! Very happy for all the climbing tips and drills I received, and looking forward to applying at my next climb :)
Me at the bottom first....
After this we made a mad dash to get me to the castle in time to get entrance (my last chance for the trip), but despite arriving on time by my watch (after mad running up hill and stupid stuff) they didn't let me in :( shattered! So much so (first world problems), that I let out a very loud shouted swear word. No doubt rendering me as an absolute bitch or even junkie in the minds of all those around! Sorry mum, was kinda frustrated, but in hindsight pretty funny to see me that pissed about not much. The good fortune of Julie apparently doesn't always prevail!
Home time for a home cooked veggie Biriyani with the housies. Brilliant :)

Good work with the rock climbing.
ReplyDeleteI remember your little arms not being able to hang on to Tom and Svet's flying fox! :)
